Math 6

The Math 6 course is designed to transition students successfully into the middle school mathematics environment. The main intent of mathematics instruction is for students to value and use mathematics and reasoning skills to investigate and understand the world around them. Students will focus on improving their problem-solving skills as well as their mental math and estimation skills. The Students will also grow in their ability to reason critically and communicate effectively with graphic, numeric, symbolic, and verbal representations.

Math 7

The Math 7 course is designed to expand upon the algebraic and geometric concepts introduced in sixth grade. While the major emphasis is on algebraic and geometric thinking, the course is also committed to strengthening students’ arithmetic and problem solving skills with rational numbers.

Math 8

The Grade Eight Algebraic Concepts course is heavily focused on deepening algebraic concepts and thinking introduced in the previous grades. While the major emphasis is on algebraic thinking, the course is also committed to strengthening students’ problem solving skills in diverse problem settings.
