Community Use of School Facilities

Southfield Public Schools offers businesses and individuals the opportunity to use our learning environments and sports facilities for any number of occasions. From business meetings to athletic events, Southfield Public Schools' facilities are available for rent to groups or individuals throughout the community at very competitive rates.

Dear Community Partner,

Effective immediately, Southfield Public Schools (SPS) has suspended Community Use of its facilities to outside organizations. We understand the challenge this may pose for many organizations as it affects many long-term partnerships we have come to value. However, our focus as a district must remain on bringing our students and staff back together safely. You should know, SPS is working diligently to ensure the health and safety of its students and staff by providing personal protective equipment (PPE), supplies along with implementation of increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols at each of our buildings. We are also responsibly practicing social distancing and enforcing the requirement of facial coverings. Further exposure of outside guests poses challenges and capacity concerns we are unable to accommodate in this environment.

We apologize for the difficulties this decision may have on your organization or business. It is our sincere hope that we are able to work together again soon as public health dictates during the global pandemic and continue to build on the partnerships we have created.
