2015.03 Friend Support

University High School Academy is an all college-prep, STEM, comprehensive, public high school. UHSA opened its doors to ninth graders September 2, 2008 with the graduating class of 2012. Most new students join UHSA at the 9th grade level, with some coming to the U as sophomores and some coming in to U Prep as eighth graders. In fall of 2016 we moved to our new home, formerly Southfield-Lathrup High School on Twelve Mile Road.  UHSA currently has a student body of approximately 450. UHSA is accredited through AdvancedEd.

Our school day is 7:50-3:05, with the building opening at 7:00. Students may also sign up for time in the computer lab (L102) to work from 3:05-4:00 Monday through Thursday. There is time built into the instructional school day to cultivate leadership traits, pursue supplementary academic enrichment and to develop meaningful relationships with school staff.
