Free Breakfast and Lunch for Students

Beginning in the 2018-19 school year selected Southfield Public Schools have been approved to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision. All students in these schools (even those who did not qualify in the past) will be eligible for free breakfast and lunch without submitting a free and reduced lunch application. 

Open Enrollment for Oakland County Residents

The Southfield Public Schools Board of Education approved limited Schools of Choice (Section 105) openings in 1st through 9th grade for Oakland County residents for the 2018-19 school year. The application period is August 6 - August 20, 2018. 

MDE Seeks Additional Input For Proposed State Social Studies Standards

Public input on the proposed draft state Social Studies standards can be provided online through September 30. Visit www.michigan.gov/mde and click the “Request For Public Comment” box for additional information and to access the proposed draft version of the Social Studies standards to offer online comments.
