SPS TV

SPS-TV is Southfield Public Schools’ Educational Access Television servicing the cities of Southfield and Lathrup Village on Comcast Cable channels 16 and 902. SPS-TV airs locally produced educational programming including school district concerts, graduations, Board of Education meetings, student produced shows, and other local community events. Between programming, the Community Bulletin Board provides information concerning school district events & activities, announcements, the district monthly calendar, promotion of outstanding students, and school closures.

The SPS-TV studio is located in Southfield-Lathrup High School and provides the education & equipment to high school students in order for them to produce their own programs. Students learn studio & remote camera operation, audio engineering, video editing, floor directing, teleprompter operation, directing, technical directing, camera performance, and more.
