2016 Mock Election Student Council and Jr Zonta's hosted a Mock Election. Special guests included: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama and Mayor Ken Siver.

Community Service Congratulations to Fourth Grader Maya and Third Grader, Syerra for receiving the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Annual Youth Community Service Award for their outstanding service and commitment to the Southfield community. Both students are apart of the Cool Kids Jr Optimist Club of Southfield. Syerra serves as Treasurer. Congratulations to Kathryn (Third Grader) for winning the elementary 2017 MLK Essay Contest. Kathryn was presented with a certificate and $200 Savings Bond.

MacArthur Grandparents Day Celebration MacArthur is known for its annual Grandparents Day Celebration. More than 200 grandparents were in attendance.
MacArthur Student Council Members partnered with Southfield Goodfellows for a second year in a row and adopted nine children this holiday season. Each grade level adopted a child and purchased clothes, coats, toys and gift cards for their adopted child. Happy Hollidays!!
