Parent-Child Book Club
The Parent-Child Book Club is specifically a parent designed, developed, and delivered club for students to have extended reading time, participate in reading activities, and receive support from their parents to foster or continue the love of read.
Junior Achievement Program
The JA Program is fundamentally parent volunteers working in partnership with Junior Achievement to offer financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and workforce readiness concepts that are typically not taught in homes or in schools, increasing the need for these themes to be brought to the students.
Reflections Art Program
The arts—and the National PTA Reflections program—support student success and serve as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in your school community. Celebrate arts learning in your school community with Reflections.
National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
Health & Safety Program
The Healthy Lifestyles program provides family-centered education and tools that connect parents with schools and advocate for healthy changes in nutrition and physical activity.
In a healthy school:
- All foods, beverages and snacks sold or served meet National School Nutrition Standards.
- All students have opportunities to be physically active on a regular basis.
- All students have access to regular physical education.
- Districtwide wellness policies are developed, implemented and evaluated with input from students, parents, staff and interested community members.
