MDE Accepting Public Comment on Revised Social Studies Standards

Public comment is being accepted on the latest draft of state social studies standards. The period of public comment spans from April 10 through May 9. Opportunities for comment exist through an online survey and at nine in-person Listen and Learn sessions across the state, listed below.

Regional Scholastic Art Award Winner

Southfield High School for the Arts & Technology student Raven Callahan received a Gold Key, the highest honor in the Scholastic Art & Writing Competition, for her piece titled ”Self-Portrait: FEAR” and an honorable mention for her piece ”Jean: HOPE.”
