Greetings Parents, my name is Micheri Moses, and I have taught in the Detroit Public School system from August 2003 until October 2016. My undergraduate educational training was received at Alabama State University in all disabilities, and from that I have been recruited to teach in most of all the disability categories (including HI and VI), in various special education settings and schools throughout DPS. I obtained my Master’s Degree from Wayne State University in Education Administration.
Southfield Public School is one of the best programs offered to individuals with special needs. I had only briefly learned about it a couple of years ago, without full details. When asked if I would be interested in joining the Cognitive Impaired program in Southfield Public Schools, I quickly said yes. In only a few days, this rewarding experience has rebooted my joy and purpose in teaching.
At this job, my students have a more supportive team and the ongoing parental support to develop their skills. I am without doubt happy and please with joining this outstanding team of professionals committed to ensuring brighter futures for our treasured students.
Ms. M. Moses, M.A.Ed.
