Participation in athletics helps young people become more involved and take ownership of their education. Sports provide a release for young people as well as the opportunity to express themselves in their unique manner. Playing sports also affords students the opportunity to learn to budget their time and realize that their academic endeavors relate to making good choices and earning freedoms. They learn to be more discipline and take responsibility within their sports and therefor, within their classrooms.
Each athlete must have physical on file prior to trying out for a sport. The physical must be dated on or after April 15th of the year of participation. These are they guidelines set forth by the State of Michigan Athletic Association.
