The Partnerships for Education Council is a smaller scale representation of all district partnerships. Approximately 35 business and school representatives are members. They meet every other month throughout the school year with innovative ideas on new partnering opportunities, encouraging expansion of model partnerships, renovating partnerships to meet new needs, and discussing ways in which the win-win philosophy can be maintained.
Within the Partnerships for Education Council are several subcommittees. All four academies have an advisory board, all vocational programs have committees, service learning, and Recognition breakfast. A Human Services advisory board is under construction. Partnerships for Education Council hosts the annual Recognition breakfast where all district partners are recognized for their efforts in supporting the students of Southfield.
